Do I Use AI For My Books?

A little while ago, a reader asked me if I used AI to write my books. He didn’t mean any offense, he was jusst asking because another author he read released one he’d created that way. I think a lot of readers wonder how much their favourite authors use artificial ingelligence.

In short, I do not use generative AI to write my books. There’s a simple reason for that.

I love writing. The acts of imagining, outlining, and generally contriving the book in advance and as it comes is one of the best parts of my life. Sometimes it’s the best part. The thought of letting an AI do any of that for me is foolish, unless the writer is just in it for the money.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy publishing because I like my work to be read. I put work into my books, and I need to earn a living somehow, so I charge admission. If I couldn’t publish, I’d still write, but I like to have a roof over my head.

I, like most writers, use an advanced spelling and grammar checker. Many writers use Grammarly, but I prefer Pro Writing Aid. All they do is check your spelling, your grammar and gives you summaries about the quality of your work. I find it’s a great help with editing and proofreading.

I’m glad to say that everything you see on my websites and in my ebooks was crafted by me. Sometimes there are mistakes, or a typo here or there, but that’s because everything you see was made by me, a creative human.

Thank you for reading my work and for supporting me.
